Yes, we have collectively reached — and exceeded the point where our souls are weary and sore afraid.

What will it take to end our addiction to ugliness? How can we dial back the entrenched anger and reactivity?

I grew up in a faith-based tradition: the Mennonites. Key tenets of this faith include actively choosing peace, of loving ones’ neighbors as oneself, of avoiding violence (in any form) and eschewing materialism.

I do not know of a single Mennonite leader or congregation who actively spoke out against the Satanic presence filling the White House since 2016 and distorting everything it touched.

I have lost my faith.
